Strength Training as it SHOULD BE

Tri-City Barbell Club is a private strength training facility in Kennewick, Washington, built for people who want expert coaching, science-based programming, and real progress. No egos. No chaos. Just results.

We train people of all ages and experience levels—from beginners to seasoned lifters—using tried-and-true barbell movements. Every member receives individualized programming and small-group coaching in a clean, supportive, instructional, no-nonsense environment.

This isn’t a commercial gym. Membership is capped to ensure small group sizes, more personalized coaching, and a focused training environment. We don’t allow drop-ins, don’t do group challenges or workouts, and everything we do is intentional. If you want personalized strength training in a barbell gym with a program backed by science and experience, Tri-City Barbell Club is the place.

WHO WE COACH

TCBC is for almost everyone. We work with youth, men and women, and seniors. We provide individual programming to suit the needs of youth development, college-athlete preparation, powerlifting, strengthlifting or other strength sports, general health (or “leaning out”), occupational strength training for those in physically demanding jobs, and strength and mobility for those entering the golden years with physical independence.

There is no experience necessary, but there are requirements. Incoming members must be open to new concepts, be willing to learn, and come self-motivated. We're teachers and coaches, not personal cheerleaders. If you want it for yourself, we will go above & beyond. This is not the best fit if you want one-on-attention or need someone to verbally keep you accountable and on track.

  1. Request Membership: Complete your intake form. Tell us your goals to ensure we’re the best program for you.

  2. Get a Personalized Program: If we’re a good fit for one another, you’ll receive custom programming based on your needs at each training session.

  3. Train with Intention and See Progress. Receive instructional coaching through your program at every session.

Built by Coaches, Backed by Science Founded in 2013 by Tim and Amanda Young, TCBC is led by an experienced, credentialed strength coach. This is not a class-based model. It’s a long-term coaching relationship built around consistent feedback, expert instruction, and lasting results.
